why running roots?

The first thing that probably comes to mind when you see the word "roots" are plant roots. Plant roots has many functions; water and mineral uptake from the soil, conduction of water and minerals to the rest of the plant, anchorage of plant, and storage of nutrients just to name a few of its functions. The word 'roots' indicates the church (and the individual person). A church has many functions; place where we meet together as God's people, gathered in one place for the purposes of worship and fellowship, gathers resources that are necessary for spiritual growth, and where everyone comes together to form one body.

There are many types of roots, tap, fibrous, runners... Runners is a type of root that grows by extending outward to connect and share the same source of nutrients. As a result, new plants will grow from this one parent plant, sharing the same root. i.e. Strawberries.

When we combine "runners" and "root", we get Running Roots. Running Roots will strive to promote church unity and fellowship and sharing our resources for spiritual growth.
